Commentary: I am surprised how much more affordable Danbury is compared to the surrounding towns. Even New Milford, usually 25-30 minutes or more from Danbury is almost the same price. Historically, the home values are more affordable up there due to proximity to NYC. It is still true, but the rise in the average price up there is due to buyers getting a larger home up there compared to Danbury. Buyers going into the area should also see what their money gets in each town, because generally speaking the homes are larger & therefore more valuable than others.
