I think that sometimes you just have accept the inevitable and move forward. In my case I have a great deal of miles with Virgin and I have trying to use them on one of their partner airlines. Are there seats available? Yes, but they won't allow the partner airline to award them. I guess I will just face that fact and decide if I will make that trip at all. There are many places to visit and see so.........maybe the universe is telling me something.

Hi Bill. I understand what you are saying. Delta made me transfer points in before confirming a reservation on a business class seat. When I called back it wasn't business and I couldn't get the miles back. If you can go.....muy view is go. TY     Sheila

Hi Sheila- I know what you mean about the miles. We earn miles through the card "you don't leave home without" so that we can use them where we want. But sometimes when we try, there are no points seats available for when we want to fly.

We use the airlines at least once a year.  Never applied for any miles or cards.  Our traveling days are getting shorter.

Unfortunately, Sheila, these mileage plans are often more hassle than they are worth and they are not getting easier to navigate.
