SpaceX tries again to launch Falcon 9 on Sunday.

December 23, 2018 at Cape Canaveral AFS

SpaceX will make another attempt on Sunday, December 23, 2018 to launch the Falcon 9 that was originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 18, 2018.

A technical issue, inclement weather and today, winds aloft, have all prevented the launch. The Brevard County “Space Coast” (Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral) is looking forward to the long awaited launch happening on Sunday.

Lift off is set for 8:51am, EST with a 26 minute window. Currently there is a 95% chance of good weather at launch time.

If you’re heading out to watch the launch, temperatures will probably be in the low 50s with a breeze so be sure to bring a jacket or sweatshirt.

There will not be an attempted booster landing with this launch since it is considered an expendable mission.

I think eventually they’ll get there. I’ve never seen this much ambition with this type of thing so far!

They FINALLY launched it last Sunday! Most of the delays were due to weather, only one was due to technical issues.

Hope your Crhistmas was special and best wishes for a Happy New Year!
