So, I can totally relate to this one, Michael! I was told today at the dinner table (yes, in front of everyone!) that I used exclamation points too much! Okay, so I explained that I never want anyone to take what I typed as 'angry' or 'mean,' that's why I think I over-use the exclamation point!
My youngest went so far as to tell me that he and his office partners get a kick out of my texts. "WHAT?! You're showing them my texts?" "Oh, yes, Mom - we love making fun of you!"
Now I will ponder with each text I send...
I hope you are having the merriest of Christmases, Michael. You have made my heart feel so good seeing you back to blogging... (exclamation point or no?!!)

Michael Jacobs, yours is a beautiful post -very mystically provocative. Brought me back to my college psychology classes - exercises on words. One day the professors sent us home with an assignment: come back the next day and from the front of class deliver two words in five different ways -- the words were:
'Thank You.' Michael, your post of ponder and 'The Ultimate' reminded me of that day in college. It was very meaningful! I hope you had a wonderful and blessed Christmas.

This blog post is a great new chapter on pondering. We all have our own life experiences when it comes to punctuation. In school, my teachers were very strict. Just when I thought I excelled in English grammar because of my grades, I graduated and went to work in a Law Firm where lawyers revised everything I wrote. Later on down the road, when I ended up in Pharmaceutical Marketing and Sales, everything got revised with Freelance Graphics. By that, I mean everything I input into the computer had to get approved by Legal and Compliance. One of the first things that were eliminated was punctuation marks in all bullet points.
Your post is so refreshing and interesting. I admire your writing style and how you think. I always learn a lot from you and appreciate your creativity in mastering the English language with a careful thought process.
