Haha, you are too funny, I am glad she solved your TV problem.  If my provider has a big outage, I make them give me a credit on my bill, since I am paying for service that they are not delivering, haha.

Hi Kathy Streib - I am as "connected" as I want to be. I won't get Alexa or anything like it.  But, every once in awhile my husband thinks about connecting lights and appliances to the internet... At some point we may not have a better choice but for now, I do!

Kathy Streib when I lose the internet, I read.... I have a kindle and it's loaded with books that I've started and not finished....

Good morning Kathy - it wasn't that long ago for us but what a difference with this wired world.  My cell signal is so weak at my house that it doesn't work when my Internet goes out.  Then I am off to Starbucks.

Imagine a day without internet.  I could handle it just fine. We live in a connected world but are communicating less. 

All I know is that pre-internet I got a lot more done! I can't imagine life now without it but I sometimes wish otherwise . . .

We had a power outage on Christmas night.  It lasted an hour, and we took it as an opportunity to just relax and wait it out.  We did use our hotspots to continue watching the Laker game. LOL A

How funny!  But seriously how did we all exist pre-internet?  I can’t even remember or fathom the thought!  

I try to keep most things off the necessity of being online. Because technology is fickle.

However, I do use several different carriers for that very reason. No way in hell would I use the same carrier for my iPad as my phone. It has come in very handy, especially when I need a hotspot.

I do hate going back to old school but I do what I must Kathy Streib

Well what a great post and good question, what did we do before Internet? Well I read a lot more books, I spoke to more people directly and worked less hours... any other questions Kathy?:)))LOL Endre

I can remember when my youngest wanted a thing he called a computer.  I got him one, as I took it to him I said.  "This is just a fad, that will go away soon."   Goes to show you what I know.  

Ha.  Looks like there are times when cooler non-tech minded people really come in handy.

Who knows, maybe some families will actually have to talk to each other during an outage. The horror!

Unless there's a bill that needs to be paid, or some critical internet communication that needs to happen, that outtage really should have been an opportunity to change up the internet addiction.  I've realized that there is nothing so important that happens online that I can't step away from it for a while.  It only bothers me when I can't get my work done.

That's funny! Oh how we rely on our technology! It was really windy the other day and I said "God, don't let us lose internet." LOL

Kathy, I love technology for business, but I have days where I wish it wasn't such a big part of my daily routine. It is a huge asset at times and pain in the assets at times. 

Even our brief getaways with me in the back seat...is not without a hot spot...we have become soooo dependent !
