Have you ever been REALLY HUNGRY? Ravenous? Starving? Stomach rumbling and growling all the way to the fridge?
You are empty. You need to be filled. QUICK!
You open the fridge/cabinet and start eating ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you can get your hands on.
Cookies, cake, candy (basic food group) chips, cereal, ice cream, cheese, leftover pizza (yum) cold chicken, lunch meat (yuk).....
Do you care about the table setting, the china, the napkins, the flowers on the table? Probably not. If you are like me, you eat standing up in the kitchen.
We all need nourishment. Without it, we would literally die.
Now body builders and fitness gurus know that what we should do, is eat all day long. We should choose healthy nutritious foods that will keep us fit and ready to live life. Never let the tank get empty. Always keep it going!
What happens when we are spiritually empty? Do we fill that hole with empty promises and just any old thing that comes along? Or do we reach out for the nourishment of God's word?
Do we hunger and thirst after our Lord Jesus Christ? Who do we look to when we are broken and famished?
We need the spiritual nourishment that comes from Jesus to keep us fit and ready to live life according to His word. We need it all day long! Never let the tank go empty!
He who is full loathes honey, but to the hungry, even what is bitter tastes sweet. Proverbs 27:7
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6
He has filled the hungry with good things, but has sent the rich away empty. Luke 1:53

Seek Christ first. Seek Him fervently. Jesus satisfies and meets your every need!
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6
Sharon I love that verse. We really do need to focus on the Lord first in our lives and good things follow. God Bless You
