However they still want to ask for the same prices as the ones which are updated...
Actually, it's their son's and daughter's...most of these places are being sold by their children.
FLOWER POWER OF THE 60'S AND 70'S, I know some of you know what I mean...the original flower power wall paper, the original "shag" carpet, and the "rake" is still with the shag carpet...come on now.
My real question is,,,HOW DID YOU LIVE WITH THIS FOR THE LAST 40 YEARS....Did it ever occur to you to get rid of the wall paper, the shag carpet...or were you still living in the past?
It amazes me how many of the condo's are still in that condition here in Florida. They have been vacant for months.
The REALLY GREAT PART OF THESE OLDER CONDO'S IS THAT THEY ARE 400 sq. ft. bigger than most of the new condo's being built!
The older condo's which have new rebar, new roof's, new exterior flooring, new A/C are actually better buy's than the newer condo units. You can purchase them cheaper, they have larger closets, they have 1600 to 1700 sq. ft. of living space, and most have been totally refurbished and the fee's for this are paid.
Construction back in the day was better, new window's to code are in place, new elevators, new pretty much everything.
It totally baffles me why when a building in good condition, which has had a complete make over, at a great deal....other than the wall paper, paint, and perhaps a little upgrades in the kitchen's and bath's at a really low price with a really GREAT VIEW, are being overlooked for newer places, at $100-$200K more.
Geeze, with about $50K in upgrades, you will have 400 sq. ft. more than the newer ones...
Why is this??? Please give me your opinions.
