I Thought of Margaret Rome
How could I not re-blog this post from Michael Jacobs?
With the
hosted by yours truly, the humor and love of ActiveRain are evident with so many wonderful entries. Of course, this one is my favorite and I have been smiling all day. Please take time to read and comment on Michael's original post.
I Thought Of Margaret Rome
While I Was Taking My Shower This Morning
Nothing salacious mind you.
It happens.
It happens quite frequently too.
And not only with Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland either.
Absolutely nothing creepy about it. Really.
You see ActiveRain keeps me aware.
Of members. Of the happenings in their area, Their thoughts on business.
I learn about their market with valuable statistics, neighborhood trends and insights beyond the numbers.
I have been a member of this forum since March, 2010 but not particularly active in the beginning. Lapses happen sometimes.
As time passed, I commented on posts.
I learned. Blogging. Business Practices. Lots more too.
Publishing posts brought inquiries. People found me through my writing and of a subject where my knowledge could be expressed in a different manner and to a new group of people. I learned even more about my market. That learning continued and grew due to the people I 'see' here on a regular and not so regular basis. Maybe I was learning by osmosis.
OK back to Margaret because I know you think you know what may happen.
But wait!
You see Margaret wrote a post about ideas that occurred in the shower. She had a plan(she seems to have a plan for everything, right?) about capturing those ideas in writing(published on October 26, 2018).
Although I haven't implemented this particular idea yet, I was reminded of it again while I was in the shower.
Ideas. Concepts. Answers. A strategy. Rinse Repeat. Each can happen when you participate.
I salute ActiveRain as it has benefitted me through education, camaraderie and humor. Things that are not so common in some social media forums are more prevalent here. Far from perfect, it's like that "comfortable easy chair" in the living room.
It could happen to you. Showering and pondering. Now keep it clean.
This is an entry for the January ActiveRain challenge sponsored by Margaret Rome "Giving Kudos". This post is rated "G" for Good Times(when you participate as an AR member). And as a former member of this forum might say "it's with a twist".
