Thank you for visiting! It's good to help Mother Earth!

Knowledge is the Power for Your Freedom to a Worry Free Home!

You and your family should enjoy the outdoors

A very important part of living in a green home is to appreciating why you went to all the effort to create a home that would sit lightly on the land, and compliment Mother Earth. Whether it be weeding your flower garden, enjoying a meal outdoors with your family, reading a fine book on your front porch, or even working on your laptop under a tree in the backyard.

Being outdoors will put you in closer touch with Mother Earth and nature. It could even help remind you and your family why it's so important to keep the air clean and the nearby woodlands, wetlands or prairies healthy for all the wildlife family's.

Dale - With all your reminders I'm not going to have time to play and go fishing. Honestly, all your great tips are very helpful and we need to be doing more of the simple things in life.

They finished our driveway Friday afternoon, I'll get some pictures posted, rather Ceil will, she is the one that did the before and after picture taking, making arrangements with the county for permits and making sure everything was lined up. They will leave the forms up for a week, said to keep it sprinkled down with water so it won't crack with this hot dry wind  that is blowing, so that's what we will do. I have the front of the well house finished with hardy, three sides to go. Too many projects going on at one time; thank goodness for Ceil; she is very organized.

Kids coming over for a BBQ so I better run.

Howdy Carl and Ceil

AS always I'm glad to have ya visit my friend's.

Carl - Always take some time to go fishing and play. I'm a fine one to talk, I have not taken a vacation in over 15 years.

I do get out in the yard, and do make time to be with nature, and some other thing that I enjoy doing. Only a day here and there.

I can't wait to read your post about it, and see the photo's. I know it's going to be a good one, for sure. You should do one about the well house also.

Hope Y'all have a fun BBQ. See ya later.

God Bless The U.S.A.

Dale,  I just wish we could be a little more kind and gentle to this place on earth we call home.  The world just gets a little smaller each day, so go green.  I did paint my house green one time but changed it to earth tones, I guess green is also an earth tone and blue for the water, etc

Dale - We had a great visit with the grandkids. We gave them new bicycles, they were so surprised and rode until after dark; loaded them into the back of the pick up around ten o'clock and headed for home. They are glad to be out for summer vacation.

I've been dragging all day. Will get to those phto's first chance I get. I'm running behind. Since the lawn is so torn up I decided to upgrade the sprinkler system while I was at it so really have my hands full. Seems like everyone under the sun is calling to book an inspection; I should not complain. Like Ceil says, come home, write your reports and if you have time before dark work for an hour and you'll get it done. I just want to get it done.....

What happened to your blog page, it is back to the old, plain that you had before we had the new background? You must be working on a new one.

Take care.

Dale - Wanted to see if you had your blog skin back up. Have someone coming on Thursday to start putting the fences back up. The new driveway is awesome; now have to work on pudding new heads, etc  back into the sprinkler system. This is something Ceil and I can do ourself then back to work on the well house. Have the front finished and windows trimmed, three more sides to go. Once I get set up it moves pretty fast but this 100 degree weather slows you down.

Dale, this is absolutely a wonderful reminder that we need to spend less time "going green" and more time "being green".  Summer is here and it's time to get outside.  I often blog sitting out on my balcony overlooking Turtle Creek, it definitely inspires me to feel nature in the city.  Thanks for the great post!

Great advice. It's pretty hard to get out and enjoy Mother Nature when you have all the comforts inside your home. Computers, TVs, phones, I-pods, AC...no bugs...well you get the picture. But NOTHING replaces or comes close to our beautiful earth which is more amazing than any computer that I've ever seen.

Dale, I think that this should be this very first tip top tip in any Green handbook, in fact with out a love and appreciation of the great outdoors why would anyone want to go out of there way and make a change in their lifestyle to improve on nature. I wish every school had a garden, what a way for kids to learn!! I put my kids sandbox right next to my garden, they love bugs and know which ones are good for my garden and which one's they should move to outside of the fence (dang those slugs) Anyway!! Great post!! And thanks for the warm welcome on my first blog. speaking of kids I have to rush them off to school yikes....how time flys on a.c

Well talken about cave's, back in 1975 after I came home. I could not be around folk's, so I went to Colorado. Up in to the mountain's where most folk's would not go. I lived just like the old mountain men and Native American's did. I lived up there for two and half years just so I could get my head together, so I could be around folk's again.

You are 100% right we where not ment to live our lives in a box.

Currently, I have been working on making my backyard more livable, since my daughter has to be out there all the time.
