YouTube Thursdays - January 2019 Thoughts Regarding Video
It’s a New Year, and the news regarding cooling trends in real estate makes us realize more and more the importance and value of niches in 2019.
It’s imperative to identify what makes YOU different, what you represent better than any other agent in your marketplace. Anybody can throw a ton of budget dollars at lead generation sites, it takes more than that to be an expert.
In addition, the content or information you share with your data base has to be relevant to them, and valuable. If not, it might be difficult to engage them.
Quite frankly, we think it’s even more important for video marketing. In our opinion, videos need these elements to be worthy of your time and efforts. We'll be covering each of the these points in the weeks ahead.
- Focused on your target demographics
- Entertaining
- Authentic
- Have some level of emotional connection/appeal
- Generally speaking, shorter than longer
- Well-produced
- Less about you, more about them, or the subject
- Tell a story or have a point
- Build your brand or niche
- Showcase the community
In addition, we feel that videos have the potential to get you out of the office and into your marketplace. That’s huge. Engaging with people, face to face, and building a library of view-worthy videos can be time well-spent.
Recently, we got yet another lead from someone who found us through our videos. Specifically, our videos about Camas, where he and his wife are considering a future move. When you take the time to do it right - video marketing works.
Much like Anita Clark 's Facebook Fridays, we encourage you to subscribe to each other's YouTube Channels - and take a minute to "like" or leave a comment. You can also add your own YouTube Channel in the comments below, and ask for subscribers. Be sure to subscribe back though - it's quid pro quo!
