. We very much love to entertain....and have found that we can do it more often with some planning ahead and the "divide and conquer" kind of approach we take to cooking. We may have frozen batches of home made french onion soup that is a course...or a marinade. Meatballs are often made in large batches an great comfort food for informal meals. The "seal a meal" vacuum has everything tasting like we just made it and allows us to entertain more often...enjoy our guests and not have so much to do at one time.
The table is often set days ahead...with a passion for "table toys" individual salt and pepper shakers and butter knives..butter molds if there is time....we enjoy it !
This weekend will include the often requested and quickly digested, Garlic Parmesan Monkey Bread. We choose to keep the flavor lighter with a touch of basil...parmesan and garlic rather than a load of Italian spices...yes please eat with your fingers....and enjoy ! Just the "freshly minted" scratch off lottery ticket placecards to complete each setting.
Rarely a week goes by that company has not been part of a meal ...can be very informal....and often is...the planning ahead makes it sooo much easier to do one of the things we love doing...entertaining, cooking, sharing god company.
Have a good weekend...enjoy a monkey bread bite !
