Speechless Sunday - Another SouthPark Sunset
My father's words echo with each sunrise & sunset I see, making them all the more magical to me:
"If you look at the ground [when walking] all you'll find are cracks and bugs. But, if you look to the sky, you'll find whatever your heart desires."

Those are wise words and certainly true, but I don't keep my head up all of the time, as I would trip on something if I didn't look down to see what was in front of me, haha.

My Grandmother had a saying that was similar... well, the first part was:
"If you look at the ground [when walking]" only grandma finished off her sentence with, you might find money! I followed her advice until the day I walked into a Parking Meter and saw stars before hitting the ground. I must have been really, really focused on finding money because I had the indentation of the part you turn on my forehead for weeks!
I like your dad's advice better!

I'm always excited to be out and about when the sun sets, James Dray - I typically pull over to capture the moment. The photos just don't do the real thing justice though!

I chuckled out loud at your comment - it's not funny but, it reminded me of Tim Conway on the Carol Burnette show, Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP! And, of course, I've done something similar multiple times - I'm a BIG klutz and have broken an arm in the past from not looking down! LOL

Debe Maxwell, CRS - You have permission to laugh out loud! If we were together and I told you that incident I'd be on the floor laughing with you! Since the time I was a little kid my siblings always talked about it and we laughed ourselves silly because we all walked with our heads down in search of money because Grandma said so! It IS funny! I just happen to be the shortest one in the family and the one who was always getting hurt but we learned to laugh and I toughened up. The next time we get together for a CRS Convention, remind me to tell you about the time I got out of the car and my foot got stuck in the sewer hole at the curb. Now that was another funny story! Not only was I short but I was very skinny too.
