Northeast Neighborhood Community Plan Year in Review

Alston-Massenburg Center
On June 2, 2008 at 7 p.m., the East End Community Association is hosting a One Year Review of the Northeast Neighborhood Plan at the Alston-Massenburg Community Center. The meeting will focus on the progress of the Town of Wake Forest in implementing the recommended actions. Representatives of the Town will update citizens about issues the Town has successfully addressed as well as items currently in the planning process. The discussion with likely involve the plans for the sidewalk on North White Street, paving of Perry Street, renovations at the Alston-Massenburg Center, landscaping for the North Taylor Street park and public safety issues. Festival Friday

Festival Park, S. White Street
The inaugural Festival Friday is set for June 6 beginning at 6 p.m. Plans call for Festival Friday to be held each Friday for 20 consecutive weeks. The event will be held each Friday on the grounds of Festival Park. In the case of rain, the festivities will move indoors. The event is free and prizes will be awarded each Festival Friday night to performers. The point of Festival Friday is to provide a venue every Friday night, free to the public, for local teens to gather in a safe, fun environment and encourage local artists to show off their skills. Customer Appreciation Day & Kids' Day at the Wake Forest Farmers' Market

Let us show you how much we appreciate you. Raffle prizes and treats and games for the kids. The market offers fresh produce, pasture-raised beef, poultry and pork, free-range eggs, fresh and dried herbs, honey, james and preserves, plus a whole lot more.
