On Uncertainty
The fastest way to break the cycle of perfectionism
and become a fearless mother is to give up
the idea of doing it perfectly -
indeed to embrace uncertainty and imperfection.
--Arianna Huffington
On Uncertainty. I ponder. It may be the ideal pondering activity.
Unlike Ms. Huffington, I am neither a mother, not even a parent nor an influencer but I can ponder. I take her words and try to find meaning.
I'm okay with breaking the cycle of perfectionism although I have been known to relapse from time to time. It happens.
Becoming fearless. I'm not without fear. Some fear is rational as I see it, So some of it does exist I guess. I don't feel overwhelmed by it.
Now about uncertainty. The word seems to have a rather negative vibe surrounding it. Forget what's good and forget what's bad. It is what it is. Yeah, that works. Is that it? Well, kinda. A simple search of uncertainty for a definition brings even more words. Doubt and more. A lot of words that deal with the prediction of events. Just more stuff. Or is it?
Hmm...is pondering not another word for uncertainty but simply a cure for it? Am I merely somewhat cleverly attempting to find yet another reason to ponder. That's it. I may have found it! Any thoughts on uncertainty? Or do you think more pondering will help?
