Best Park/Playground for Kids in the Bay Area

It's one beautiful, hot sunny day. Time to go out strolling around town, or better yet, relax outdoors and treat your kids to one of these fun parks around the Bay Area. You'll sure to do it each and every weekend!

Adventure Playground

"Adventure Playground is one of the Marina Experience programs and has been written up as a top 10 playground in National Geographic.

It was voted BEST of San Francisco magazine 2016, Best Creative Playspace in Diablo Magazine. YELP has rated us 4.5 out of 5. We have been written about in the Architectural Digest, the Chronicle, the Boston Globe and Newsweek as one of the Top 5 playspaces in the country. NPR did a wonderful interview."

Children’s Fairyland

"A favorite way to think of our park was summed up in San Francisco magazine. Children’s Fairyland, they said, is “as miniature and uncynical as a toddler’s beating heart.” We agree. Children’s Fairyland is, in many ways, a timeless reminder of the joys of standing three-feet tall."

FROG Park

"What was once a vacant lot overgrown with weeds is now one of Oakland’s most popular parks. It’s a local treasure that started with the simple notion that our neighborhood needed a safe place for kids to play. Now it’s ours to maintain and enhance."

Hap Magee Ranch Park

"Hap Magee’s water feature is a combination of metal tubes that form a tunnel with water spraying inside as kids run through, and water spraying up from the ground. A motion sensor activates the water feature on a random circuit. (Please see water feature FAQs in right hand column for more information.)  This 17-acre park also has walking trails, separate play areas for younger and older children, picnic areas, and a dog park."

Larkey Park

Larkey Park is a wonderful Neighborhood Park in Walnut Creek with activities and amenities for the whole family. The park is home to Lindsay Wildlife Museum, a seasonal pool at the Larkey Swim Center (closed until Summer 2017 for construction), and the Walnut Creek Model Railroad Society.

The bay area continues to be a popular place to call home.
