Who's the Turkey?
Although I'm no longer a landlord I will go on record as saying that North Dakota legislators are on the money looking at curbing what constitutes a "service animal". IMHO some people have gone way to far and for a medical professional (Dr.) to say that a turkey or a donkey is a service animal, and for a landlord to have to accommodate it, is ridicules.
Hello Bob -- so many directions my comment could lead but on occasion I decide to keep thoughts to myself much like any "turkey" joke should be told.

Hi Bob... I agree that people have taken this concept a bit too far in terms of what they claim is a service animal. And it "cheapens" the concept for those people who really need them.

That's the thing Hannah Williams , no one seems to be an "expert" on it so basically anything goes. If I were a landlord and a tenent of mine had a certificate from a Dr. that my tenent has a theropy kangroo and the ADA said I have to accomodate for it I sure would not be happy about it.
Nina Hollander being a psychologist can deem any animal a service animal due to the "comfort" that animal provides it really puts the landlord in a tough space. If you google unusual service animals you will see everythinjg under the sun there including spiders and snakes.

Good morning Bob. I am no longer a landlord either but tend to agree. Most states have strong definitions of the specific servive an animal must provide to be classified a service anything.
