Educator Jennifer Bukosky and her Daughter Courtney Bella

On April 25th, an orthopedic surgeon driving an SUV while under the influence of prescription drugs, plowed into a smaller car, killing a pregnant high school administrator and  a second daughter..3 people senselessly taken too yet to be born, one just 10 years old and an enthusiastic educator in her 30's.  Two days before, the offender, had appeared in court on his 3rd offense of driving under the influence.  The judge, delayed his sentencing for 2 weeks...and due to that delay...three people were struck down far too early...lives snuffed out forever...

The parents of this young mother have bravely taken this cause to the media...and more importantly to the legislature.  They have taken their case to us to make a change in society that can save lives.  I  get lots of e-mails that ask me to pass them along...that grant me wishes and riches if I pass them to X number of people. No amount of passing this message to anyone will replace the people who were lost.

If you are a Wisconsin voter....sign this petition and pass it on to everyone in your address book.

If you aren't a Wisconsin to your legislators about how you can help enact laws making your state a safer, saner place to live.

I do not understand the whole delayed sentencing thing....if they are guilty of the offense, then why not sentence them immediately?

That is a very sad story.  I hope it works out for you up there.  We have a judge here in Seminole County FL that has 4 DUIs and is the same judge who does that DUI cases for that county.  Kind of a hypocrite if you ask me.  He apparently has never had his license suspended or revoked... there should be stiffer penalties in all states for more than 1 DUI.  Hope this works out for you!

You would  be amazed what you can start with a petition....we do have stricter penalties for DUI...this Yahoo...a Doctor,,,Who I actually went to a long time ago and thought he was goofy then....was drug as opposed to alcohol impaired...and shame on all the doctors who keep prescribing high powered drugs to the same person at the same time...!

Another example of what's wrong with our legal system.  Let's protect the offenders and ignore the victims.  Happens with DUI's, happens with domestic violence, happens with drug pushers.

Hopefully you can affect change.
