Why should anyone buy in this market?

Hi, all.

This is a question we are asked so many times that I'd really like to offer positive answers with links to articles/videos that say it is a good time.

There was a great articel in a February 14 2008 issue of Time Magazine http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1713483,00.html

But it seems the message is being drowned by continued stories of doom and gloom.

So if you have run across articles and videos that say it's a good time to buy (and not just from NAR), I would really like to have that link.

Maybe we can build a list of such articles that we can post on our respective websites.

HELP?

I would simply because the prices are going to go up soon.  now is the time to get a deal, later might be too late to get the lower prices.

I use the words doom and gloom all the time when I am on my tours with clients. The media would not be able to survive without it. Keep doing positive things in your career and soon you and others like you will turn the Media attention on you and they (the media) will have no choice but to do a story on you. Check out what we have done to get the media to look at us. http://www.foreclosuretoursrus.com/news.html

Hi, I would certainly check out yur market before making any such conclusions..But, despite what reports may say, there are pockets of progress in most areas that seem to be bucking the trends. I have been working with investors to find deals for a while now, we look for values based on criteria such community, amenities, job markets, .....Finally, is it a good deal for us at the price we can purchase it for...If your client is someone who is looking to get out of the property in a few years or less, then I would not suggest buying now..Maybe a long lease option would work best then
