Whether you take medication daily for a chronic condition or were just prescribed medication for a new ache, pain, rash, infection….we have great news that may save you some money.
When you get your prescription…don’t have the doctor’s office call or send it to the
pharmacy. Get it the “old fashioned way” in writing…and hopefully you can read it. If you can’t ask for the name of the drug and dosage before you leave the doctor’s office.
Go to the website: WWW.GoodRx.com. and enter the name of the drug in the window at the top of the page. The program will tell you the amount every pharmacy will charge for that drug and may have an available coupon. In some cases you may find this is less expensive than the co-pay you are paying now.
This will vary from drug to drug of course…we were amazed…some pharmacies have
the rate as others !
