I don't list and sell anymore. I now am a stand up real estate trainer with 35 years real experience and the best referral source around. In early November of last year I was lucky enough attend a Active Rain Meetup in Boston that my friend from Dallas Lisa Von Domeck hosted in conjunction with the NAR convention. I didn't go to conventions even when I was actively listing and selling but it was simply too tempting to miss.
While there I meet any number of agents I knew but had never met from around the country. The first person I saw and recognized was Debe Maxwell from Charlotte, NC. I was initially taken by her joy and effusiveness. Debe brought bags of goodies for everyone and they were filled with useful and clever everyday items all with her tag line on them, Maxwell House Realtors......I know I thought about coffee as well.
The most wonderful thing about these items was they were fine, well made and could and would be used. The canvas bag is the best one I have with a close mechanism, and secret pocket inside. I use it for groceries and one of the check out clerks actually commented on it. There is a notebook for making notes about anything, a great and sturdy key chain that looks like sterling, a pen with heft and a wine cozy.
There are many throw away merchandising items around. These are quality and I certainly know Debe Maxwell is a quality person too. It's smart to buy well.........whether it is a home, a car or a giveaway. Smart folks recognize the difference and don't we all want to deal with smart folks? I do. You go Debe.
The picture is most of us from the Boston Mett-Up. Debe is in the front row between George Soto and Debbie Reynolds. The bags are on the table.
