In today's world of internet marketing you rarely hear of a company that does not have a website. With so much competition out there companies must learn to differentiate their company's website from their competitor's websites by building credibility through the marketing tactics used on their website. Here are some ways that you can improve the credibility of your website:

•1.       Make your contact information easy to find - We have all had experiences of visiting a website which enticed us to want more information and then proceeded to hunt through the website for several minutes before finding the company's contact information. The more trouble you have finding the contact information, the more you begin to distrust the company. Do your website visitors a favor and make your contact information easy to find by placing it in the footer of every page of your website and by giving your phone number prominent placement in the header of every page of your website

•2.       Use credible images - The quality of the images on your website speaks more loudly than any of the content on your website. It is important to take the time to find quality images that reflect the demographic you are targeting and express precisely what your website is attempting to convey to the consumer.

•3.       Privacy Policy - If you are collecting any information from visitors on your website (and every website should be) you need to have a privacy policy that expresses to your visitors what you will and will not do with their contact information. A link to this privacy policy should be easily found on your website.

•4.       Apply for credibility seals - There are many credibility seals that are available for a fee once you pass their application process. Check out Verisign, Truste, and BBB Online reliability program for more information. These credibility seals have become standard signs of credibility and reliability on websites in every market.

•5.       Stay away from broad, generalized claims - Claims such as "best value", and "most reliable" are too broad to be considered as fact. Define your unique value proposition by determining what you do differently from your competitors and substantiate what it is that you truly do best.

No matter what industry you are in, if you are actively marketing your website, you need to make sure that your website tells the world that your company is professional and credible. For a free analysis of your website contact Deep Blue Computers today.

I like your comment on best value, it reminds me of how many agents over state their credibility.
