Free always works! Something about that word that gets people running to you.

There is something inside me that says a portion of my efforts should be for the good of the community, without regard to compensation.  What I've learned over the years is that it can be difficult to give things away.  Somehow, it always comes back to you in one form or another.

Good morning Margaret. This is an interesting topic. Free will surely catch attention but isn't self sustaining. There much be value too.

I have found that for the last decade or so freely given something of value is gratitude marketing.

Giving is the best way to receive.  I give of my knowledge freely to other agents and find them to be most helpful when a favor needs to be returned..or sometimes, out of the blue something wonderful will come my way because I was the one that offered help when they needed it.

Interesting idea Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland . Maybe this guy is on to something and he has a game plan in mind for his future. I've gone to plenty of 'free' classes over the years and being 'free' wasn't why I went to them. I went because I was interested in the topic and/or needed some CE hours. Many people in my area offer 'free' stuff for the community for marketing purposes.
