South\west Arizona Shows Growth

Southwest Arizona is an area that is generally rural in nature. Farming, copper mines, ranching, corrections and government make up the largest employers. Lately, there has been an uptick in retirees moving here. The slower pace of life, less traffic yet with needed services are cited as reasons. The schools are performing well which families certainly enjoy.

Our beautiful Mt Graham dominates the area especially now with its cap of pristine snow. You can still see the University of Arizona telescope at the top on sunny days and the snow melt is finding its way into washes that will run through the end of spring. It's cooler here than in Phoenix or even Tucson but usually reaches the mid-50s during the day.

Prices are increasing but at a slow rate. There are many types of housing to choose from including everything from single family homes in subdivisions to horse properties and ranches. A new copper mine has strenghtened an already strong rental market and several subdivisions are close to being completely built. All in all, this Graham County area is continuing steady growth and looks to a bright future!
