How many times a day do you get lucky? WOW…Is that a loaded question or what? Betting on the right horse is getting lucky; selecting the winning number with one spin on the roulette wheel is getting lucky; getting laid is getting lucky; and there are many other moments that describe getting lucky.
In the real estate business, one does NOT get lucky. Being visible and overhearing a conversation; or seeing a contact you haven’t seen in a long time; or having floor time when the phone rings is not luck.
Networking with people results in business. Satisfying your office schedule to cover the phones during “up time” is another business duty. There is no luck involved. The more you cover the phones, the greater the opportunity to answer a potential client call.
In my opinion, ninety-nine percent of the real estate business is not a result of “luck.” The outcome of each new client is a product of one form of marketing or another. Networking, Branding, Focusing, Marketing and Being Visible, As Often As Possible, must all be interchangeable and synonyms for the word “Lucky,” since it's used so frequently in the real estate business!!!
I’m sure most of you don’t agree, but that’s how I see it…..
