I'm conducting some research for an article on the HopeNow Alliance, and other NPs who, under the presumption of homeowner advocacy, offer to help a homeowner negotiate a non foreclosure workout with their lender(s).

I'd like to hear from you if you have had any experience with HopeNow, or have tried to communicating directly with your lender.

I'm interested in lender response time.  I'd like to know how long you have been placed on hold (the current record is 76 minutes). Did anyone encourage you to challenge the foreclosure? Did the housing counselor recommend a repayment plan vs. loan modification? I'd like to know whatever you would like to share.  Publically, or in confidence.
