On February 20, 2019, California Association of Realtors (C.A.R) reported an annualized rate of 357,730 single family homes sold in California in January of 2019 decreased 3.9% from 372,260 in December of 2018, and dropped 12.6% from 409,520 units in January of 2018. While, homes values declined 3.4% to the price of $538,690 in January of 2019 from price of $557,600 in December of 2018, but up 2.1% from price of $527,780 in January of 2018 in California.
There were 4.6 months supplies of available inventory of single family homes in January of 2019, higher from 3.5 months in December of 2018, and jumped from 3.6 months in January of 2018. An average it took 37.0 days to sell a single family home in January 2019, gained from 32.0 days in December of 2018, and increased from 27.0 days in January of 2018 in California. The average price for a square foot was $264.00 in January of 2019 rose from $257.00 in January of 2018 in California.
