You Never Forget Your First Love Is In The Air
If Not Exceptional, At Least Memorable
With barely the ink dry on my new real estate license, I was asked by a family member to sell a condo that they held as an investment property. While not a large property it was like using the training wheels on your first bike.
With guidance from my broker, I took all the necessary steps to get the condo listed, properly marketed and then waited for a qualifying offer to materialize.
With modest activity, my broker suggested I try an open house as a way of getting people through the condo and maybe even pick up a few buyer prospects as well.
With my first open house, there were a few potentials that came through as well as a buyer with his agent. The agent introduced herself and we chatted briefly while her client went through the unit. I later came to appreciate that the agent that chatted with me was the leading producer in our board and had been for the previous 5 years.
The condo was bought by the tenant that had occupied it for 3 years; my relative was pleased to be done with the rental property and that agent and I have been good friends for years.
