The older I get the harder it is for me to see things in the best possible light. Perhaps that is because as time goes by my experience with life and with people has tainted me. I really am trying to look forward with hope and optimism but life is replete with disappointments. OK enough. I am positive about one thing and that is that each day is a gift and today is good. It's not easy or even possible to always be positive. But, I'm a happier person when I am positive; one way I generate positive feelings is to focus on 2-3 things for which I'm grateful each day; that generally turns my mindset around.

I think we all have our doubts from time to time. You are right everyday is a gift and we should be thankful.
