Thanks to Danny Thornton, for paying it forward and tagging Jeff & I for this "Super Me-Me Bug" that's going around with 8 specific questions to answer. This is our first ever attempt at a Me-Me.
Jeff quickly said - you participate...... as he is more passionate about sports blogging :)
So here goes.....These answers are according to Grace :)
1. Who is your favorite musical artist? ------------> JOHN COUGAR MELLENCAMP !
This Hoosier Musician will be inducted into the Rock N Roll hall of Fame this year!
I saw him first in concert in my 20's and again in my 30's and yes even today his lyrics and music are meaningful! ( He's on tour again this summer - which one of you are going to call Jeff and drop the hint that I'd like to go see him again... LOL).
Although I Listed my favorite - I really do enjoy an ecclectic variety of music including Broadway Show Tunes, Christian, Jazz, Salsa, Classical and even some Opera! Thank God for satellite radio :)
2. Who is your favorite artist? -> Pierre Auguste Renoir & other Impressionists !
I am very fortunate that this, my favorite painting of his, is on display nearby at Chicago's Art Institute so I can enjoy it in person !
I took Art History in College and loved it....I was excited to visit the Louvre in the early 90's and see many Impressionists works first hand...but, I have grown also to appreciate Modern Art as well - especially that of Peter Max.
3. Who is your favorite blogger? ----------> To name Just ONE is Impossible :) 3 that come to mind when I think of PASSIONATE Bloggers that I enjoy are: Elizabeth Nieves, Carole Provenzale, & Jo-Anne Smith - but there are dozens of other bloggers here on AR whose posts have informed, inspired, taught and enlightened me as well - and many more future posts not even written yet, that are sure to impact me :)
4. If you could meet anyone (alive or dead), who would it be and what is the most interesting thing about them?--------->
MARIE CURIE....'The Lady of The Atomic Age" !!!
Against all odds......a woman born in a Communist country during her time did not even go to school, let alone become the President of a University and a two time Nobel Peace Prize winner in SCIENCE for her important discoveries.
Because of her work, her Legacy lives on.....She is responsible for saving the lives of many today as RADIATION Therapy & Xrays would not be around if it were not for her tireless and persistant efforts.
Ironic, that the life giving radium she discovered and studied, was the poisoning that brought her important work and life to a pre-mature end. She was a woman ahead of her time!
5. What did you want to be when you grew up? -------> a Registered Nurse!
I became one in 1979 and retired in 1999. It was a very diversified career. I started out in OR, then ER, then Critical Care. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Nursing, plus dozens of specialty Certifications over 20 years.I was a Supervisor, a critical care educator, but enjoyed bedside nursing the best and traveled all over Chicagoland as a Temp or Agency Nurse that filled in for shortages at various hospitals.
I married Jeff to spend time with him, so he convinced me to stop the midnight madness and get my Real Estate License and help his growing business! I've never had a better schedule or co-worker as now :) thanks honey!
6. What is the most interesting piece of trivia you know? ----->
All 3 of the Great Western Religions accept the existance of ANGELS !
Judaism, Christianity and Islam -They are mentioned in all of the following : the Torah, both in the Old and New Testaments in the Bible, and the Koran.
"The Angels regard our safety, undertake our defense, direct our ways and exercise a constant solicitude that no evil befalls us. " John Calvin
7. If you could live in any point in history what would it be and why?
I'm Glad to Be Living in the Here & Now - this is a Time of GRACE !
Compared to my immigrant parents experiences in WW II my life is blessed :)
8. What is the most interesting job you have ever held? ---------> Real Estate Sales !
Every client and transaction brings a different set of circumstances to the table.
Creativity, Problem Solving, Continuing Education to Keep abreast of New Technology and Teachings make for very few dull moments!
Jeff & I had the honor to meet Robert Kiyosaki once and I'll never forget something he said ...
