This is the time of year  if you are considering relocating and you have school age children  that you start checking out schools.  The Red Hook Central School Distict covers areas in Northern Dutchess and parts of Columbia County. There are three schools , the high school, the middle shool and the elementary school.

Red Hook Central schools afford many opportunities to explore sports, music and academics.  Both sports and music departments participate in many competitions yearly.  Students also have choices in AP (Advance Placement) subjects and over the last few years, the IB - International Baccalaureate program was instituted which gives students opportunities to earn college credits while in high school.

One of the things parents are usually interested in is the school's overall academic performance. This information can be found here.

Jennifer, the Linden Avenue School reminds me of the traditional NY colonial style elementary school that I went to.

Hi Jennifer - what a great way to introduce new people to your schools.  Great pictures - the bottom 2 school pictures look like a couple of schools here in my area.

Jennifer, Your schools are lovely.  It's so funny, we have a Linden St. School and  a Mill Road too...which is an elementary school as well :)   I guess NY ran out of names!  But your area sounds lovely, hopefully I can make it up this summer.

Jennifer looks like a very good school system with lots of offerings.  I know that when my kids were growing up that was on of the top priorities for us.

Jennifer -More high schools need to have programs that will allow high schools students to earn college credits while in high school. It will make a hard transtion less hard. Plus, students will graduate from college earlier too. Great post.

Brian - I hope the memories this brought back were pleasant ones.

Ann- This is a big deal with people relocating with children.  I find visual along with links to information is usually appreciated.

Carol - Sometimes in the same county you have wo streets with the same name, what's up with that?  Let me know when you are coming up maybe we can meet for lunch.

George - Providing links to information on school is something we as agents do very often.  Parents looks for so many different things in a school district.

Thesa - This type of an information is a popular requested item.

Stephen - Thank you, it is nice to know my photos are appreciated.  I really like your suggestion.

Lanre - I agree.

Gita - People are alway asking for picture and since we know how much the consumer appreciate visual tours, adding photos to a post is something I love doing.
