There are no limitations on the minimum age for having a signature notarized. The standard of law is whether or not the signer is signing the document willingly and freely. In short, does the signer understand what the document is that they are signing and do they sign it voluntarily without coercion or duress?
NOTE: Minor children are generally held immune from entering contractual obligations until they reach the legal age. Being a minor child might not be legally bound to the document he/she signs; a notarization of the signature would have little consequence in law either way.
