“Getting a Home Inspection Before Listing Your Home”

Once again, I appreciate your advice. I had a home inspection done a couple of weeks ago and was a bit surprised that there were a number of issues that I needed to have fixed. All the repairs were completed, my Realtor was impressed that I was so proactive. In any case, the property is now on the market and I have already had two showings. She thought one of the prospective buyers would be making an offer.

I will be meeting with my MA Realtor over the weekend and hopefully narrowing it down to the property we want to make an offer on.

Thank you for the home inspector and insurance agent referrals.

I will forward all the documents you requested before the weekend.

Beth

I will often recommend to my clients to have a home inspection done prior to listing their property. Beth is going to be limited on time and will not be able to afford any delays on the sale of her home.

I do the same myself with every house we flip. I will always have a home inspection done, just to make sure nothing was missed.

When the buyer gets the home inspection, water tests (if appropriate) sewer inspection (if appropriate), termite and radon tests, sales just go that much quicker.

The sale can definitely be smoother if the seller has already identified and repaired any issues.

Good morning Joe. In areas where the homes are older, it is a terrific idea to be a step ahead of the competition. Enjoy your day!
