Lee Ann Basile-Richards, Jason Richardson interview

Firefighter, Jason Richardson & Lee Ann Basile-Richards

Don't forget that this weekend - March 10, 2019, its time to change your clocks (moving them ahead one hour for Daylight Savings Time) and changing the batteries in all of your smoke detectors!

I had the pleasure of stopping by and chatting with the firefighters at the Shelbyville, TN firestation and below is a short conversation that I had with one of the firefighters, Jason Richardson.

He talks about the importance of a working smoke detector. Did you know that you have only seconds to get out of your home if it catches on fire? Jason says that newer constructions homes burn quicker than older homes.

On a personal note - if you have an elderly neighbor, friend of relative that might have trouble climbing onto a chair or step stool to change batteries - stop by and do it for them!

Lee Ann, fun post, and we do need to remember to change the clocks tonight, or be late for anything on Sunday.
