I have heard of plenty of sellers who felt that they should chose an inexperienced (little did they realize), unproductive (little did they realize), incapable (well, nearly so) relative to represent them. Uncle Mike takes it to a new level!

Some people have to learn by stepping in it.  Just because we are related does not mean that relative, unlicensed, is the right person for the job.

We are definitely sitting on pins and needles. We need to get the scoop.....did you get the listing and tell us about meeting Uncle Mike!

I've come up against a few "Uncle Mikes" in my life as a Realtor.  I once went on a listing appointment where an "Uncle Mike" was also present.  He sat there during the presentation, and then at the end went on a tirade about how Realtors don't earn their money.  I listened until he ran out of steam, and then began asking how he planned to market, handle the paperwork and the disclosures.  It was during a time here in Sacramento when we had a ring of "investors" out of the Bay Area, who would swoop in buy up FSBO properties, and then turn around and sue the sellers for fraud because they hadn't disclosed defects, etc.  Mentioning this, helped me obtain the listing!

CONGRATULATIONS Scott, on having this blog FEATURED in the Old Farts Club group!

I'd go. Maybe she still has some donuts left.  Maybe the uncle will be a no-show, embarrassed because he hasn't sold the property.

All Agents are not created equal and every buyer or seller should take the time to hire the BEST not just the biggest. Those that hire me, find a dedication like no other.

FSBUM...hysterical!!! We all know THAT guy. Heck, we even know THAT agent.

For Sale By uncle Mike, that is a good one.  It is good that this seems to be a rare occurrence, at least in my findings.
