Just Shut up!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with WHISPERING PINES REALTY 20398180

There is nothing worse than someone who rambles on about nothing.

That goes 10 fold when the rambler is an agent that does not listen.

Agents need to learn to shut up and listen to the potential clients.

People will foam at the mouth when given the chance.

It is our duty to get any and all information the clients offer.

This is often true of other agents as well. I find that allowing some agents to ramble affords me the opportunity to glean information they really should not be sharing. It is unfortunate for their clients, but it is true.

So true, William Feela . One of the agents in my brokerage had a listing where the seller required her to be there for all showings.  The buyer's client, during a showing, asked her many questions and she responded to all  and figured out that the agent representing the buyer never listened to what the buyer really wanted - which wasn't her listing.  The next day she got a call from the buyer asking for information.  She answered the call - the buyer had fired her agent due to failure to listen.  Big lesson for all.

Morning William.

We see it almost everyday.  I know when I get a call from a few, I will be on the phone for a long time.  Sigh

I couldn't agree with you more on this, William.  And, it can be even more annoying if you try to interject after a long period of time, and they say, "Don't interrupt me."
