Despite four new wide releases, Disney’s “Captain Marvel” maintained the top spot at the box office for the second weekend in a row.
The supercharged superhero film added $69.3 million in domestic receipts (a 55 percent drop) for a cumulative $266.2 million, according to estimates from measurement firm Comscore. That makes it the biggest second weekend of any 2019 release thus far.
Internationally, the movie earned $119.7 million over the weekend for a worldwide cumulative of $760 million.
