YouTube Thursdays - Vary your videos for Email Blasts
We are very particular about what we send to our clients. Whether it's mail through the postal service, emails, texts, or a phone call, it needs to be informative, or valuable, or entertaining. The jackpot is when it hits all three.
Six-times a year, or every other month, we send a short video to our SOI. It's one small part of our touch system to remind them we are always here. Naturally, we vary the subject matter. Sometimes it's real estate related, or features a news worthy event such as Earth Day. There's always an opportunity.
For example, Bernie wrote a post this week reminding me Wednesday, March 20, 2019, was World Frog Day. Therefore, we stuck to our "nature as neighbors" roots and sent this video out yesterday. We got a lot of positive feedback.
Sharing things that resonate with you, and your like-minded clients, is fun and easy. Plus, the addition of a video tends to up the read rate. A healthy open rate is between 15% and 25% for marketing emails and between 20-40% for transactional emails. As of this morning, our video had an open rate of more than 40%!
The bottom line. Look for natural opportunities to stay top-of-mind. If your videos are well-produced, offer some value, and stay true to your brand, you've likely got a winner. Extra tip: try to come up with a compelling subject line, it will further add to your open rate.
Much like Anita Clark 's Facebook Fridays, we encourage you to subscribe to each other's YouTube Channels - and take a minute to "like" or leave a comment. You can also add your own YouTube Channel in the comments below, and ask for subscribers. Be sure to subscribe back though - it's quid pro quo!
