Have you ever looked forward to something and it turned out to be completely different than you expected?
There has been a lot of anticipation in my hometown about the arrival of Spring and it turned out to be a gorgeous day. Unfortunately, I didn't get to enjoy it. I ended up in the hospital.
Without going into any of the gorry details, after 5 hours in the E.R. I was given a real room. Since I wasn't allowed to eat any real food, I was served up a lovely styrofoam buffet for dinner consisting of: Water, 7-up, cranberry juice, apple juice, and Jell-O. For dessert, I ordered a special treat... hot chicken broth.
The good news is I had a lovely view from my room. The best news, though, is I am home now and on the road to recovery. The staff at Confluence Health were all awesome, as were my amazing friends who got me to and from the hospital, visited me, and made sure I had everything I needed.!
Carol,
Sorry to hear about your hospital adventure. And now, you can enjoy spring from a better vantage point, and we wish you a painless recovery and the avoidance of surgery. A

I am glad to hear that you are home and on the road to recovery, you are in my prayers. The food sounds worse than what we had at the super bowl party, haha.

Carol Williams you've been on my mind this past few days and I thought it was about Connie but now I know it was about you. Sorry to hear you fell ill and I hope the changes won't be to hard to make. So glad you're back home and on the road to recovery.

Hi Alexandra,
Yes, things are looking up and I'm looking forward to some golf in a couple weeks.
Thanks Brian England
All healing thoughts and prayers are appreciated. The Super Bowl food wasn't bad. It just wasn't on our diet, was it? LOL

Hi Anna Banana Kruchten CRB, CRS 602-380-4886
Connie arrived today. I ended up having one of the kids pick her up in Spokane and bring her here. I'm feeling much better so all is well.
Hi Carol:
Wow, so sorry to hear but glad you are home and on the mend, and can enjoy the scenery from other than a hospital bed. Happy to hear you are feeling better!

Hi Jeff Dowler, CRS
Yes, it's good to be home enjoying real food off of real dishes.
Hello Carol - your post title intrigued me and while the reason for the title proved different from my original thought, I am happy to read you are home, recovering and making necessary adjustments. Stay well.

It is certainly good to be home. I'm not interested in going back to the styrofoam buffet. LOL
Carol- cute title, cute post...but what's more important is that you're home and ok!!! This also reminded me of the post you wrote last week about having someone who checks in on you daily.

Girl, you know how to turn a downer into a fun AR post! I'm sorry about your Styrofoam Buffet and I wish styrofoam would be eliminated from the environment, but it made for an interesting topic for your post. I hope you are on the road to recovery. Chicken soup is good for the soul and whatever else ails ya. :-)

Glad you are home from the hospital. Never fun. Thought Connie lived in Goodyear AZ.
Hi Kathy Streib
A bit ironic, isn't it? In this case I called for help. It's important to have go-to peeps. I think I'm going to write a follow-up to that Check-in buddy post.
Hi Will Hamm
I seem to be doing well. Will have a follow up with my PC doc sometime soon to discuss any further treatment.
Hi Pat Starnes-Front Gate Realty

So sorry to hear about you being ill and that "buffet" does not sound very appetizing. I'm glad you are home and I hope doing much better!
