The first day we arrived in Borrego Springs, we tried to visit the Anza Borrego State Park Visitor's Center to no avail. Because it was a Sunday. That place was packed without any spare parking places. Bumper-to-bumper cars and traffic in this small desert town. Tourists everywhere. Pulling off the road to join long lines of vehicles as nature enthusiasts descended upon open fields after fields of wildflowers in bloom.
That's why we decided to visit the Super Bloom there on Monday, when many tourists had gone home. We drove the opposite direction to Salton Sea that day, and visited Fonts Point on our way back to Borrego Springs.
But on Monday, the real fun began. You can read more and see a boatload of photos of the visitor's center in my personal blog today at this link: Photos of Wildflowers from Anza Borrego State Park.
