In the olden days, like a dozen years ago, my demeanor was a lot more polite than it is now. When I answered my phone, I would engage in a conversation with whomever was on the other end of the phone. If I received a telemarketing call, I asked nicely to be removed. Explained I had no interest in their product or I was being better served elsewhere. Probably my Midwestern upbringing.
Today, however, I have no patience for that crap. The people who irritate me most are usually mortgage brokers, just calling to congratulate me on my remarkable success as though I had no idea of what I have accomplished or that I would welcome the advances of a new mortgage broker searching for business, NOT.
