I guess the winter nap is over. Two nights ago I saw the first one but couldn't get a photo without putting myself in danger. Last night I knew when they would come to feed so I waited. The bear and I made eye contact but most of the closer pictures were too dark to see him. This was the first shot I took. They come at about 7:20 PM just as the sun is almost completely down. I have a flash but am not close enough to have it make a difference. Therefore, my window of opportunity is only a couple of minutes. As it stays light longer maybe I'll get a better shot. This was taken opposite my home where the woman living there has fed them, and they remember.
Sheila Anderson That is exciting to see. You need to set up a camera with a motion detector. Then you can make a video and have it go viral.

Hi Scott. I am excited to see them or should I say him. I haven't seen groups yet. TY Sheila
We haven't seen any bears as of yet, we have had Bobcats and Cougars which are a little more sneaky Sheila Anderson

Feeding them? She must have done it for so long that the bears remember her. But seriously, it is scary.

Oh, man, I would have been freaked out to see a bear outside my window like that! Even worse to know the idiot neighbor fed them. Take care, Sheila. Do you have bear spray?

Hi Paul. I have never seen either of those. Good luck with them. TY Sheila
Hi Elizabeth. It wasn't my window it was across the street. No bear spray but I have a horn. TY Sheila
Hi Leif. She has been feeding them for years and there isn't anything anyone can do to stop her. TY Sheila
Morning Sheila.
Seeing them in a zoo is different that in the wild. Be careful, they do eat almost anything, keep your four legged babies safe.

Hi James. I am not a big fan of zoos. I like to see animals where they live. TY Sheila
Good morning Sally. I would take the bears over the people who stupidly feed them. Sheila
Sheila - I agree with you that animals are much better not in zoos - the only problem is that I am not sure he is perfectly suited to living in suburbia either - we have so many deer here in Bethesda because we are living in suburbia where they should be living instead and not in suburbia!
