Today was the day for me to shave my beard off!

Before I got the dog grooming shears out I had to take a picture with my 17 year old son Timmothy. When I look at my High School graduation picture I can see Timmothy and I are definitely father and son. I to had a full beard and long hair but I can tell you Timmothy's beard is as thick as mine was at 18 and his hair is much thicker than mine ever was. He is also 2 inches taller and nearly 80 pounds heavier then I was. I am so glad that unlike me he is focused on school and church.

So now I'm going to have to update my profile pick to reflect the new (older than dust) me with a clean shaven face. Maybe tomorrow.

You should have left the beard alone, except to trim it. I grew one a few decades ago for a couple of weeks

Michael Jacobs my beard is so thick I had to take a break after the groomers shears. I just finnished the job this morning (another hour long job) and my skin is so raw I'll hold off on the picture until this afternoon.

Dorte, Timmothy is so much wiser then I was at his age. As they say I "was to smart for my britches" back then and only used my smarts to get into trouble. As far as him shaving his off... he hasn't said. His grooming choices are driving his mom a little crazy right now. He went from insisting to having his hair cut weekly (which she loved) to this and she is not to fond of the beard either.

That's a great compliment Sheila Anderson that you can see me in Timmothy. I shaved because it was getting uncomfortable (I can't really explain that) and I found myself fidgeting with it to often.
