Walk On The Wild Side Day is April 12...I’m Not Sure I Even Have One
This is one of those days that I’m not quite sure how to celebrate. When I came upon this celebratory day I had to pause because quite frankly, I’m not sure I have a wild side.
It’s not that I don’t know people who have a wild side...there are members here whom I perceive to have one (not mentioning who)
My southern upbringing coupled with my Asian heritage, throw in a dash of Girl Scouts and High School drill team and you do not get a recipe for someone who will even take a stroll on the wild side.
Oddly enough, my parents were not strict with me at all. I had no curfews. We were allowed to try an adult beverage (at a very early age) in their presence, and I think some of my cousins may have had a smoke or two.
The worse thing I ever did (that I can remember) was to eat a few brownies that were not exactly straight out of Betty Crocker’s recipe.
And so, while I have no regrets for not having walked on the wild side, I kind of wish that there was some part of me that had or would walk that way. Nope...no wild side in this kid!
What about you? What would you do to take a walk on the wild side?
