Budget Music, Minot ND I have been meaning to make this blog post for some time as I am very appreciative of the service our local Record Store provides and what better time to do it then on National Record Store Day.

Our store, Budget Music & Video is located right downtown in Minot. Easy to find, easy to shop.

I myself spend most of my time in the used vinyl area looking for records of my youth. I have owned as many as 2,000 LP's over my lifetime. Regretfully all was lost in 2011 during the flood that destroyed my home but now I am back up to about 300 LP's, 50 tapes, and 100 CD's. Much of my collection has come from Budget Tapes & Music in Minot.

Here are a few pictures giving you a view of a bit of what they have. Don't be fooled, they have far more inventory then what you see here.

Although Budget Music in Minot has been around for 42 years this is just the 12th year of National Record Store Day. Budget Music has participated in every one and Budget Music has a GREAT celebration planned for this Saturday, 4/13/2019, that includes special sale prices, FOOD, & of course music! In conjunction with National Record Day vinyl manufactures (record making companies) will be releasing several new LP's that WILL BE at the store for this event. If you like music you don't want to miss this event!

Hi Bob... I think we still have maybe about a dozen record stores in Charlotte... not that I've ever visited one. We got rid of ours years ago... nothing to play them on.

I came close to having nothing but they are such a big part of my past, a part I look fondly back upon, that I just had to rebuild my stero and record collection after loosing it all in the flood. I know I will have a great time visiting those 12 stores when I come to visit Nina Hollander .

I feel your pain Norm of Sandy Padula and Norm Padula, JD, GRI . I could never get rid of my records. I did give up my killer stereo but after a couple of years with a Crosley all in one piece of crap I had to rebuild a decent system. BTW Endre Barath, Jr. helped me with the finishing touch of a good cassette deck.
