INDIAN CREEK. The home of The Golf Club of Jupiter. Located just east of I-95 and south of Indiantown Road on Indian Creek Parkway. The retro clubhouse hasn't changed much since its' introduction in the early 1940's. But it's clean, welcoming and the restaurant offers up some of the best burgers in town. The beer is ice cold. And if you're out on the fairways, you can call in your order before you hit the 9th hole and get your food & beverages to go for the back 9. It's not the most challenging course, but it's a nice, playable with great service and welcoming atmosphere. A sufficient amount of water hazards, but nothing too demanding. Strategically placed sand traps don't pose too much of a threat to seasoned golf hacks. In a nut shell, an all around great course for beginners and recreational golfers.
The Golf Club of Jupiter is perfectly centered within the Indian Creek community and offers great views of the driving range where golfers hit balls into a lake and the ocean breeze floats them back back for harvest. Golf ball dispensers are located at the foot of the stairs at the clubhouse, and tokens can be purchased in the pro-shop adjacent to the restaurant and bar. The bacon cheeseburger comes highly recommended by yours truly. I've always enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the bar and friendliness of the wait staff.
There are a variety of close knit communities within Indian Creek which are intertwined through the fairways of The Golf Club of Jupiter. Starting with Wingfoot, a 55+ age restricted community located just north of the clubhouse offers 2 and 3 bedroom floor plans. Buildings are 2 stories tall and Wingfoot condos are light, bright and airy with in-house laundry. Pinecrest and Keystone are entry level, 2 bedroom golf course condos. Upstairs units feature vaulted ceilings and screened balconies. A short jog down the cart path south and you'll see Muirfield condos. Their distinct architecture, reminiscent of an art deco motif are hard to miss with their flamingo pink stucco. Across the street are Divosta's Greenbrier duplexes with attached 2 car garages, 2 bedroom, 2 bath floor plan - private backyards. Some of the homes have private pools as well.
Winding back towards the clubhouse is Moccasin Trail Villas with single car attached garages, 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with very generous screened rear porches and a quaint covered front alcove. Half Moon Circle across the street features 4 plex units which are deceivingly spacious. Eagles Nest, a continuation of Moccasin Trail is comprised of single family homes with attached garages, many of which abut to the golf course.
If you're looking for one of the more affordable planned communities in the Jupiter area, Indian Creek checks all the boxes. Not only is Indian Creek in one of the best locations in Jupiter, minutes to the Atlantic Ocean, Jupiter Lighthouse, Jupiter Inlet and zoned for top rated Jupiter Schools, it's right around the bend from Abacoa, home of baseball Spring Training.
The Roger Dean Stadium in Abacoa provides hours of family fun with events, Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. The Jupiter Hammerheads don the field during the remainder of the year. Just down the street in Abacoa Town Center, there are tons of free monthly events ranging from the Friday night Food Truck Invasion to Artigras and The Feast of Little Italy. The band stand, Abacoa Amphitheater hosts a slew of free concerts and movies throughout the year. Family friendly Stadium Grill and Hokkaido Japanese Steak House are right across the street from the amphitheater.
Jupiter is a culturally diverse mecca filled with great dining and shopping options the whole family will love.
