GRAND RE-OPENING

Red Lion Arts Gallery & Studio will celebrate its new location with a reception from 6–9 p.m. Friday, April 5, on the lower level of The Mercantile Building, 546 Main St. Meet the gallery owners, learn about their vision for the gallery and view the artwork from the gallery's featured artists.

There will be wine to taste and food catered by MX Tapas.

The gallery's regular hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and 1–9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

UPCOMING SHOWS

"What Were You Wearing?" will be on display from 1–9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 12–13, at Red Lion Arts Gallery & Studio, 546 Main St. A reception will be from 5–7 p.m. Friday, April 12.

This is a sexual assault survivor art installation that includes stories from survivors and clothing displays created as a response to myths related to rape.

"It's going to be an emotional show," said Michelle Pattee, co-owner of the Red Lion.

"What Were You Wearing?" also will be on display from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, April 22, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, in the Meyer Ballroom in the University Center at Colorado Mesa University.

■ "Celebrate Life," a spring art show, will open on May 3 at Red Lion.

■ "Mystical Nights — Psychics, Magicians and More" will open June 7 at Red Lion.
