Inspirational Thoughts for 4/17/19

by Patricia Feager

"The presence of passion within you is the greatest gift you can receive.

Treat it as a miracle."

---Wayne Dyer

Looking out into the fields of Indian Paintbrush wildflowers behind a barbed wire fence, I was reminded how the results of passion to survive whatever type of adversity comes along, regardless of whether it is because of humans, the weather, disease, or natural disaster leave lasting hope for others years to come.

Do not be afraid. Passion is the medicinal fix that produces courage, inspiration, motivation, and determination to appreciate everything that is in front of us now. All we can do is what is within our control. Sometimes it hurts. Others may need protection. Material goods are only manmade pieces of junk that typically end up in people's closets, attics, or stuffed behind closed doors. Life is beautiful. Be free to choose your passion and live successfully with love in your hearts for the world is a better place wherever there is evidence of passion.

The best flowering perennials are a symbol of hope. They come into our lives when we need them the most. Perennials grow best when they grow side-by-side living in harmony. And for that reason, they make the world a better place. Sometimes we complain about the amount of rain we get in the spring, which all depends upon both gentle and torrential raindrops. Other times we complain there just isn't enough. I look out at the Indian Paintbrush and think it looks like ribbons of sunset closer to earth, easier to see, impregnating the earth with continuous hope.

Have a nice day... Patricia

Good morning,  Patricia - your words and photos combine to illustrate your point of passion that exists in our lives. Explore it. Embrace it. Enhance it. And yes enjoy it. Don't lock it up to be shown on that special occasion.

I don't know what I was expecting from your title, Patricia... but it certainly wasn't this... had never heard of Indian Paintbrush until I read your post. Seems hardly a day goes by that I don't learn something new in the Rain.

Seeing that field full of Indian Paintbrush helps to bring out that inspiration in me. There is something about the power of Mother Nature that provides us with hope and determination.
