What's Light Got To Do, Got To Do With It?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams - BV 581856

I can feel a Tina Turner remix coming...but seriously, I do believe that a home's lighting creates a certain feel about the property.  Clean well, declutter thoroughly, and stage appropriately. * Note: Home staging still taking place!

Forest Drive in College Station

Fluorescent lighting leaves many buyers with a "sterile-hospital" or "school classroom" mood.

421 Forest Dr. Living Room

Soft lights leave a relaxing ambience that makes buyers unconsciously think, "Ahhh, this is nice."

For the above new, vacant listing I have asked the owner to replace all the fluorescent bulbs with the soft white light bulbs.  I know it helps prospective buyers (who are mainly buying for their college-age kids) to view the property in a more positive light!  This condo will now feel like a home away from home!

I agree William.  And vacant properties especially need that added warmth. :) Thanks for stopping by!

Great point on something often overlooked.  Dimmers are a big plus for a nominal upgrade.

Yes Keith, dimmers are a lovely feature especially for formal dining rooms!
