On the Valley Isle, there is always something to celebrate. With so much to be thankful for and with so many walks of life making their way to our beautiful island community, there’s never a dull moment here on Maui. One such event that’s coming up is the Chinese Moon Festival in Lahaina, Hawaii and we think you’re going to want to join in on the fun this September 14th.

The Chinese Moon Festival is an annual Maui event that showcases tradition and culture for the greater island community. Every year there’s live Chinese music, cultural practitioners offering hands-on activities such as calligraphy and dance, and plenty of delicious food to enjoy. Try some of the traditional tea and mooncakes in an elegantly decorated tea garden and tune in to listen to the Tea Master share the history and traditions of tea, along with samples. There will also be a craft activity available for keiki (children), and the Wo Hing Museum cookhouse and grounds will be open from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday with free admission. Four days before the event the museum will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. with free access to the community.
