The Twin Towers of Auberge Beach Resort Fort Lauderdale Condominium
A luxury penthouse at Fort Lauderdale's Auberge Beach Residences and Spa sold in April for $8.6 million, reported as the highest-ever recorded resale price for a condominium in Broward County.
The head of a Wichita, Kansas-based ethanol transportation company bought residence #1601 in the recently completed & newly opened Auberge Beach Residences & Spa Fort Lauderdale’s north tower for $8.6 million. The 4,636-square-foot condo at 2200 North Ocean Boulevard sold for $1,855 per sq. ft., records show, which was approximately 25% higher than the preconstruction purchase price paid by the original purchasers in August 2018.
The Broker reported the $8.6 million penthouse sale was the most expensive Broward condominium resale as reported by the Southeast Regional Multiple Listing Service from the period of Jan. 1, 2016 to April 19, 2018.

ADDITIONAL PROMINENT BUYERS AND SALES AT AUBERGE
Notable and prominent purchasers at the Auberge Beach Condominium in Fort Lauderdale include a sale to the owner of the National Hockey League’s Florida Panthers Vincent Viola who bought two units for $10 million in March of this year. Other well-known buyers at Auberge include Citrix CEO David Henshall, former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino and Jacob Trouba of the Winnipeg Jets, along with celebrity party planner Annie Falk, and Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlour owner Linda Zakheim. Last year, the son of Salmar Properties founder Sal Rusi paid $9.3 million for a penthouse in the Auberge north tower.
